FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need to have any experience to parasail?

Absolutely not! You don’t need experience to fly. If you can sit, you can fly!

What are the age restrictions for parasailing?

The minimum age to parasail or ride on the boat is 5. There is no maximum age!

What are the weight restrictions for parasailing?

This is very weather dependent, however as a general rule, a minimum combined weight of 125 pounds and a maximum combined weight of 500 pounds is acceptable. The captain will make the ultimate decision and will adjust flight situations as needed.

What happens if I have a reservation and the weather is bad?

The captain closely monitors all weather and will make a call the morning of your reservation. We will be in contact with you as soon as we have any information. The cancellation policy does not apply if WE cancel your reservation due to inclement weather. We just hope that we can accommodate you at another time :)

Are reservations recommended?

Reservations are highly recommended. Boats fill up quickly during the summer season. You can book online or over the phone with a credit card.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations may be made up to 24 hours prior to your scheduled flight. If you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled flight, you will be charged 50% of the total cost of your reservation.

Can I bring a camera, cell phone, or video equipment?

Yes, but please keep in mind that the ride can be quite WET at times. Bring these items at your risk. Participants can purchase a photo package containing 35-40 digital photos on a memory card which you can keep. Our photos are taken by the crew member with a big zoom lens… we do all the work, you just enjoy the ride!

How should I dress to parasail?

You can wear anything you want, although we recommend bathing suits and/or beach attire.

Can two people go at the same time?

Yes! This is the ideal scenario!

Can three people go at the same time?

Yes, but there are weight limitations and some restrictions may apply. Wind and weather conditions change daily. The final decision will be made by the captain.

Do I need to know how to swim?

Absolutely not! Every participant is required to wear a lifejacket. The captain and crew are also trained in water rescue procedures.

How long are the rides?

The whole adventure takes anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half, depending on the number of passengers on the trip. The boat holds a maximum of 12 passengers who will take turns in the air. The time in the air is approximately 10-12 minutes.

Can I go along to watch?

Yes, IF SPACE IS AVAILABLE AT THE TIME OF DEPARTURE. The cost to observe is $35. If you wish to change your mind once you are out on the boat, you can simply pay the difference to FLY. The only way to guarantee a spot to observe is to pay the full price to parasail.

Do you take off from the land or the water?

Neither, you take off and land directly on the boat. We do offer “dips” to those who may be a little more adventurous.
